September 11 Day of Service & Remembrance

The focus of this day is to create a lasting and forward-looking legacy that forever remembers and honors the victims of 9/11 and world terrorism in general, and also pays tribute to those who have risen in service in response to terrorist attacks. We seek to accomplish that mission by encouraging all Americans and others throughout the world to voluntarily perform at least one good deed or another service activity on the anniversary of 9/11 each year, and on other days marked by terrorist events. We seek further to inspire everyone to carry forward everyday in their lives, through their actions toward others, the remarkable spirit of unity, understanding, and service that brought America and the world together in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.
