2010 Civic Life in America Report
We're experiencing very exciting times--the completion of the first-ever study of its kind on civic engagement in the United States. Each state and the 51 largest metropolitan areas in the county were studied using the following elements of civic engagement: Service, participating in a group, social connectedness, connecting to information and current events, and political action.
Explore the findings and compare cities and states. Oregon ranks #11--see where the rest of the country stands.
The Civic Life Study is a result of the partnership between the federal agency, the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), and the Congressionally-chartered National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC).
