Secretary of State Kate Brown to present Governor's Volunteer Awards

Oregon Secretary of State Kate Brown will present the 2014 Governor’s Volunteer Awards!

Only a few days remain to register for the Governor’s Volunteer Awards Luncheon, so sign up now. The deadline to register is Thursday, April 17.

At the annual awards luncheon, volunteers from across the state will be recognized for their efforts to strengthen their communities. It will be held 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, at the Salem Conference Center.

From 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. the day of the luncheon, the Oregon Commission for Voluntary Action and Service and members of its Committee on Volunteerism will hold a hearing to gather public input on volunteerism throughout Oregon. That hearing will also be held at the Salem Conference Center. We encourage people to come speak at the hearing. Anybody may attend and speak at the hearing without attending the luncheon.
