On Friday, September 12, Oregon Volunteers hosted nearly 240 current and former AmeriCorps members, program staff, commissioners and other friends of AmeriCorps in Oregon for this celebration of twenty years of AmeriCorps service in Oregon and across the nation!
In the past twenty years, over 16,000 AmeriCorps members provided over 20 million hours of service to enrich the educational experiences of Oregon's children, increase access to healthcare for families, provide relief to victims of disaster, preserve the environment, build the capacity of community organizations and much, much more! We took this opportunity to salute these members and the dedicated staff and partners who supported them in their service.
Were you here with us or wish you could have been here?

For national AmeriCorps programs serving Oregon
Organizations applying directly to the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) to be a National Direct AmeriCorps program that serves in multiple states or territories are required to consult with the State/Territory Commission of each state and/or Territory in which the organization proposes to operate and must describe this consultation in their applications. Oregon Volunteers values this consultation as an opportunity to learn about your program, how we can support your program’s success in Oregon and how we can work together to create a national service identity among all programs serving the state or territory.
Oregon Volunteers’ consultation process requires you to complete a survey with key information about your program. Most of this information can be a summary of information you provide in your application to CNCS. Please complete the online survey here by January 30, 2015.
We look forward to learning about your program!
